Random Questions

Ok, so I know this is completely out of the blue, but recently I was thinking and somehow got on the topic ofJ ean Grey from the X-men. Now, I don't really follow comics, or their various animated versions, and thus have no real idea of where to start looking for some answers. If any of you can help, please do.
Now, I've seen that Jean's powers are basically telepathy and telekinetics. How long is her distance? Does she have to be within eye sight to move something? Does it have to be herline of sight, or can she see through other's eyes? Not very pressing questions, but interesting none the less.

Help please!

Yes, she does have to be within eyesight of something; at best, she'd have to know exactly where it is in relation to her current position if she can't see it [IE, in the next room], so it still couldn't be on the other side of the world or anything. And though the subject hasn't come up much, I'm sure she could lift something someone ELSE can see, especially if that someone is open to her mental probing.
